20150429_155143(0)The next morning after another great buffet breakfast we drove to Malakka. Burt wanted to go there to do some cultural heritage sightseeing. So as soon as we arrived at our hotel we took a walk into town. We walked all the way down to Jonker Street to some shopping malls and back to the hotel. This was about a 4 hour walk. Malakka still has a lot of sights that show the Dutch were there. A lot of graveyards with tombstones we can read. Jonker street is a busy very touristic street. A sort of China town but also with a lot of shops that sell typical handmade Malayan products. I had a great young coconut at the beginning of the street. Needed the fluid as it was very warm. Temperature has been around 30-35 degrees for all these weeks…awesome! Malakka was more interesting than I expected it to be. We did a lot of walking and it was definitely worth the 200 km drive down there.
